BIO: Art and music have always been vitally important to Andrew while growing up in New Jersey. After several years playing lead guitar in a rock band, he returned to art school to find a new direction.Development of a layered dry-brush technique at duCret School of Art produced a softness in his work which has been compared to mezzotint art. It was at school that he discovered a passion for painting wildlife, and was soon exhibiting at shows in NJ, PA, CT, MD, and VA (including Ducks Unlimited events, and a one-man show at National Wildlife Federation).Andrew's award-winning attention to detail and anatomy has also been featured in magazines and calendars. He and his partner Lynda Scott started Imaginature, Inc., and together they published prints of his watercolor paintings. |

CURRENT PROJECTS: Expansion into graphic design has spurred a reformation of Andrew's own company. Under the name (e.g.) Studio, Lynda and Andrew offer varied services including logo design, collateral materials, corporate ID systems, and illustrations. A few of (e.g.) Studio's recent projects have been a logo for New Jersey Ride for Aids, a logo for a chiropractic office, and collateral for a landscaping company, comprised of an eight-page brochure and postcard mailers. Recently completed full page trade-magazine ads for a dog breed book publisher and currently working on logo designs and other graphics work for a custom motorcycle parts distributor. Although (e.g.) Studio and LightHart Studios are stand-alone companies, we work closely on certain projects, and look forward to our future collaborative endeavors. |
